In our employee of the month blog series we highlight a different Info-Pro employee every month so you can get to know us better! Up this month? Verna Bartels.
Verna Bartels, Client Services and Support Specialist
What does your role entail at Info-Pro?
I’m on the Client Service team, and assist lenders with questions they have regarding delinquencies, escrow payments, and flood determinations. I also process lender files, and am learning lender onboarding.
How long have you worked at Info-Pro?
I started at Info-Pro on March 15th, 2021.
What other jobs have you had prior to working at Info-Pro?
My background is in market research. I spent the majority of my tenure working in operations, where I helped onboard, secure and validate data files, acquire and process advertising data, and investigate and resolve client inquiries.
What’s your favorite thing about your job or working at Info-Pro generally?
I enjoy the variety of responsibilities, and how patient my team has been with all of my questions as I learn!
Tell us about your family.
My family consists of aunts and cousins who are in Missouri and California, as well as a handful of cousins here in Wisconsin. I also have a “chosen family,” which is made up of friends who have become my family! No pets at the moment, although I’m always tempted to adopt the cat of the month.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I absolutely love camping, attending NASCAR races or Brewer games when possible, and gardening. One of my favorite activities is sitting around a campfire with friends.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Tomah, WI, and lived in several small towns until my family eventually relocated to Fond du Lac once I was in high school.
What’s your favorite thing about living in Wisconsin?
It’s hard to narrow it down to one specific point. I appreciate the slower pace, the beauty of our state, and the variety of activities we have available here.
Share an interesting or fun fact about yourself.
I taught myself how to make lefse, which is a traditional Norwegian “flatbread”. My great grandmother would be so proud! I’m now on the search for a low carb version, although I’m certain it will not taste the same!
