In our employee of the month blog series we highlight a different Info-Pro employee every month so you can get to know us better! Up this month? Monique Barnett.
Monique Barnett, Client Services & Support Specialist
What do you do in your role at Info-Pro?
I work in client services as a supportive contact for lenders and tax agencies.
How long have you worked at Info-Pro?
I have been with Info-Pro for approximately five months.
What other jobs have you had prior to working at Info-Pro?
My past career was within the financial/banking industry. I worked at Chase for seven years as a Quality Specialist IV and Business Analyst. After being laid off, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Business Management and worked at US Bank as a Credit Specialist for a few years.
What’s your favorite thing about your job or working at Info-Pro generally?
My favorite things about working at Info-Pro would be the flexibility of working remotely and still being able to get my kids to their activities without it being frowned upon. It’s a very supportive company and that is a huge plus for me with the way my life is set up. 🙂
Tell us about your family.
I have been married for five long years to my wonderful husband, Brandon Barnett, who is a Control Operator for WeEnergies. We have two beautiful, athletic and energetic kids - Anisa (16yrs old) and BJ (9yrs old going on 13). Both of our children are heavy into basketball and track, although BJ is still finding his love so he also plays baseball and football and he’s surprisingly great at them all. Anisa loves track the most. She broke her high school Triple Jump record as a freshman and would have won at State if she hadn't twisted her ankle. When the kids aren't running around for sports, they are home playing with our two loving standard poodles (Ace 3.5 yrs and Cocoa 2 yrs).
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I like to go to the gym with my family, take care of my many, many plants and create (I have an e-commerce business called MB By Design and I spend a lot of time creating handmade and laser gift items).
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Milwaukee, WI.
What’s your favorite thing about living in Wisconsin?
I honestly don't know that I favor anything in particular about Wisconsin. If I could move, I probably would but I am very family oriented and not sure I could part with my family.
Share an interesting or fun fact about yourself.
Fun fact that many don't know about me is that I am a Certified Personal Trainer (that does not have time to train anyone, LOL). Oh, one other fun/interesting fact is that I own over 75 plants. Hehehe. 😁
