In this new blog series, we’ll be highlighting a different Info-Pro employee every month, so you can get to know us better!
Brittany Merk, Escrow Processing Team Lead
What do you do in your role at Info-Pro?
In the Escrow Processing Department, we assist customers with making the tax payments in identified areas. As the Escrow Processing Team Lead, I help to coordinate the upcoming tax cycles, communicate special requirements to our Research Team, work with our Engineer Team to identify system enhancements, as well as be the Escrow Processing Specialist for a number of our customers.
How long have you worked at Info-Pro?
This April, I will be starting my 6th year.
What other jobs have you had prior to working at Info-Pro?
Prior to Info-Pro, I worked as a Leasing Consultant for a large Apartment Complex, in addition to waitressing for 10 years.
What’s your favorite thing about your job or working at Info-Pro generally?
In my role, I am fortunate to see the successes of hard work. Our Research Team works hard to report information, and our customers work hard to get taxes paid. Its very rewarding to be involved in the end result and know that everyone’s hard work was necessary to get there. Along with seeing taxes getting paid on time, its interesting to continue to learn the differences with the tax cycles throughout the United States.
Tell us about your family.
This past November, my husband Michael and I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary, and this past February we celebrated our son Dekker’s 1st Birthday!
What do you like to do in your free time?
During my free time, I really enjoy spending time with family. During the summers you can always find us at a ball park.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Brownsville, WI.
What’s your favorite thing about living in Wisconsin?
Quiet summer nights in the country are the best. The fresh and calm air, with bugs chirping in the background, is a very soothing experience.
Share an interesting or fun fact about yourself.
I grew up on a Dairy Farm. Farming has been in my family for a number of years, and the Family Farm continues to grow and thrive today.
