In our employee of the month blog series we highlight a different Info-Pro employee every month so you can get to know us better! Up this month? Amy Johannes.
Employee Name/Title:
Amy Johannes, Control Room Specialist
What do you do in your role at Info-Pro?
I work closely with my team lead, Meghan, supporting interdepartmental escrow processes and performing a variety of duties related to managing tax bills (requesting, collection, documentation, maintenance, etc.).
How long have you worked at Info-Pro?
I started in July of 2021, and have been in my current position since May 2022.
What other jobs have you had prior to working at Info-Pro?
Prior to joining Info-Pro I worked in Human Services for 35 years.
What’s your favorite thing about your job or working at Info-Pro generally?
First, our integrity and how the core values are genuinely incorporated into our culture at all levels. You feel them and see them in the people, not just a sign on the wall, you are seen as a person. Second, wellness days—35 years in mental health and no organization provided mental health/wellness days. Finally, last winter when it was time for picking up our Christmas gifts, it was cold/snowing/windy, and I sat in my office only hearing laughter ALL day from leaders who were standing outside.
Tell us about your family.
My husband Joe and I have been together for 33 years. We have two cats, Gracie and Etta James, that we adopted from Sauk County Humane Society.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to travel, go to Broadway shows/concerts, road biking, college football games, volunteering and giving back to our community, and teaching at the technical college.
Where did you grow up?
Fond du Lac.
What’s your favorite thing about living in Wisconsin?
Our picturesque waterfronts, diversity of people, outdoor adventures that change with the seasons...and, of course, cheese curds.
Share an interesting or fun fact about yourself.
This was a challenge. Best I got is that I hung out with Walter Payton, Erik Kramer, and Mike Ditka (Yes, I am a Bear fan).
