Paul Leslie

In our employee of the month blog series we highlight a different Info-Pro employee every month so you can get to know us better! Up this month? Paul Leslie.

Employee Name/Title

Paul Leslie, Tax Agency Data Support Specialist

What does your role entail at Info-Pro?

As part of Agency Relations, I help with maintaining the Tax Agency Database ensuring it is updated with the latest information. Sometimes the information is easy to verify. However, there are times when we must be bloodhounds tracking down information along a twisted path via phone calls, emails, and web searching.

How long have you worked at Info-Pro?

I have worked at Info-Pro for 15 months.

What other jobs have you had prior to working at Info-Pro?

My background prior to Info-Pro was working in the income tax field along with being a representative payee. It was an easy transition to move into data gathering for paying real estate taxes. My training and experience was all about researching and finding the correct information. Real estate taxes just like income taxes have general rules followed with a long list of exceptions to the general rule.

What’s your favorite thing about your job or working at Info-Pro generally?

The culture of the company is truly people first. They are looking out for the well being of the employees and customers. You see  it in the effort that senior management does to reach out to everyone. Even in the craziest times of 2020, they were around updating, seeking feedback, and answering questions. The mid level managers encourage thinking on how processes can be improved. Plus the company likes to do lots of fun activities to change things up.

Tell us about your family.

I have 2 adult boys (22 & 19).  The oldest is living out in North Carolina. That is giving him the opportunity to learn life isn’t the same as it is in Wisconsin.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy playing golf and bowling. I learned really quick after playing these sports with retirees that I need to significantly improve my game while I am still working. Otherwise I won’t be up to speed when I retire.

I also enjoy watching all sorts of University of Wisconsin sports - Go Bucky!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

What’s your favorite thing about living in Wisconsin?

The endless views that the state has to offer. You can look at the same sight but the view will change with the seasons. It is the coolest thing to see nature with freshly fallen snow, everything is covered in a white sheet.

Share an interesting or fun fact about yourself.

My freshman year in high school the boys basketball team went to the state tournament in Madison. So I decided to go to the University of Wisconsin - Madison because I thought Camp Randall and the field-house looked cool.
