In our employee of the month blog series we highlight a different Info-Pro employee every month so you can get to know us better! Up this month? Meghan Abitz!

Employee Name/Title

Meghan Abitz, Control Room Coordinator

What do you do in your role at Info-Pro?

I am the Control Room Coordinator. My role is to log and handle all incoming and outgoing checks, this includes escrow payment checks, tax agency refunds, customer invoice payments, etc.

How long have you worked at Info-Pro?

My two-year anniversary is coming up in April!

What other jobs have you had prior to working at Info-Pro?

I previously worked at Moraine Park Technical College for about five years—taking classes while performing administrative and financial duties in the bookstore. I also have 10+ years of customer service and retail experience.

What’s your favorite thing about your job or working at Info-Pro generally?

My favorite thing about working at Info-Pro is the supportive environment and the wonderful people who work here.

Tell us about your family.

My husband and I met in middle school and have been married for five years (together for sixteen!). We have two children—Ethan, 12, and Samantha, 4—and another on the way in August of this year. We also adopted a one-year-old chihuahua mix puppy a few months ago named Bella.

What do you like to do in your free time?

As I get older, I find myself wanting to take more naps in my free time, but I enjoy reading and playing video games when the kids allow me to.

Where did you grow up?

I’ve lived in Fond du Lac since third grade. Before that, we moved around a little from Milwaukee to Ripon to Door County.

What’s your favorite thing about living in Wisconsin?

My favorite things about living in Wisconsin: good cheese and friendly neighbors.

Share an interesting or fun fact about yourself.

I love music and played the viola in the orchestra for eight years. I also dabbled in percussion in band and was great on the snare!
